Are you new, a visitor, or interested in attending Anchor Baptist Church? You’ll find that Anchor Baptist Church is the ideal place for you and your family! With adult Bible classes for married couples, single adults, newlyweds, college students, etc., Sunday school classes for children and teenagers, and special needs classes for the deaf and blind, there is a place for you!

Sunday Bible Classes – 9:30 am
Adult Bible classes and Sunday School classes meet from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., right before the main preaching service. This is the perfect opportunity for you and your family to meet other fellow believers and also learn great Bible truths.

What About My Child(ren)?
We provide first-class nurseries and childcare for your newborn or baby, where they will be kept safe and well supervised. We have detailed identification system that is unique to each child that provides for the child’s safety, and it allows the nursery staff to quickly notify the parent if assistance is needed or an emergency occurs. Our nursery staff is well-trained and experienced; we are good at what we do.

Classes are also available for children four year old up to seniors in high school. These classes give them an opportunity to grow spiritually and learn vital biblical truths at a young age.

Where Do I Park?
Ample and convenient parking is available for all visitors. We also have parking spots designated for the elderly and handicapped. The map of our campus will provide you a detailed map of all the building and parking space locations. Click here for map.

What Should I Wear?
There is no strict dress code to attend our public services, but in case you’re wondering, a majority of our church members wear their “Sunday best” — the men in a dress shirt and dress slacks, typically with a tie, and the women in modest dress.

Sunday Morning and Evening Services – 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Every Sunday morning and Sunday evening, the main Sunday preaching service is held in the Main Auditorium with Pastor Bell. As you walk in, a friendly usher will greet you and be available for you to help you find a seat and answer any questions you may have.

We believe in having a church service with good, uplifting hymns and spiritual songs that will stir and inspire you, prayer, and best of all, practical preaching of the Word of God from Pastor Bell.

Singing and Special Music
Every service gives you an opportunity to join us in singing hymns and spiritual songs. Each chair provides a songbook for you to use, which are available on the song book racks located under every chair.

You’ll enjoy the music as our 40-member choir sings. We also have many ensembles, youth choirs, and singing groups throughout the services.

We are a church that believes in prayer. Throughout the service, prayers are led by different men. Some of these prayers deal with the needs and requests of our church family and friends, while others simply praise and thank God for His goodness and faithfulness.

We consider the preaching of the Word of God to be the best and the most important time of the service. I Corinthians 1:21 reads, “…it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” We believe that the best help you can get in any struggle of life is from the Bible and that preaching is that help.

At the end of the preaching, Pastor Bell will ask everyone to stand and will give an invitation. This is a time for many to respond and make a life-changing decision by walking down the aisle and praying at the altar. A decision may be to trust Jesus Christ as personal Saviour or to become a better Christian. Whatever your decision may be, the altar is open to you to join the hundreds that will make decisions.

If you would like someone to pray for you or would like to make your decision public, men from our pastoral staff will be by the altar to pray with you and help you.

After the invitation is given, we have a baptism time at the end of every Sunday service. Those who have trusted Jesus Christ are baptized by immersion, making it as easy as possible to be baptized immediately after you get saved. However, we do not believe you can be saved by baptism. We provide two baptistery changing rooms, one for the ladies and one for the men.

Dozens of people get baptized every week here at Anchor Baptist Church. If you would like to be baptized, make your way to the altar, and men from our pastoral staff will be available to assist you.

Thursday Evening Bible Study – 7:30 p.m.
The Thursday evening Bible study takes place every week at 7:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium of Anchor Baptist Church. This is a time during the week when the church family gathers to listen and be taught practical, relevant truths from the Bible taught by Pastor Bell. You will learn truths that will help you in the areas of prayer, marriage, child-rearing, relationships, and more!
